Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Loopn application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Vantcrest Labs Private Limited, the company that operates Loopn.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Loopn. Continued use of the app after any update to these terms constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Who Can Use Loopn

Loopn is currently available to:

• Students and faculty of SJCET Palai
• Users who are 18 years of age or older
• Users who sign in with a valid institutional Google account issued by the college

By using Loopn, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements. Accounts found to be ineligible may be removed without notice.

Your Account

Your Loopn account is created using your institutional Google account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

• You must provide accurate information during profile setup and keep it reasonably up to date
• You may not create more than one account per institutional email address
• You may not share your account with anyone else or use another person's account
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Your account is personal and non-transferable

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.

Acceptable Use

Loopn is a verified campus community. You agree to use it responsibly and in good faith. The following are strictly prohibited:

Identity and Verification

• Impersonating another person, student, or faculty member
• Using someone else's institutional credentials to access Loopn
• Creating a false or misleading profile
• Attempting to access Loopn with a non-institutional email

Harmful Content

• Posting content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory
• Sharing explicit, violent, or sexually inappropriate content
• Posting content that promotes self-harm or harm to others
• Spreading false information or misleading claims

Spam and Misuse

• Sending unsolicited bulk messages or spam
• Using Loopn for commercial solicitation, advertising, or recruiting outside the intended use
• Scraping, crawling, or extracting data from the platform
• Attempting to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the platform or other users' data

Platform Integrity

• Interfering with the normal operation of Loopn
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
• Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with Loopn

Content You Post

You are solely responsible for all content you post on Loopn — including posts, comments, replies, messages, profile information, and any files or media you upload.

By posting content on Loopn, you grant Vantcrest Labs Private Limited a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the Loopn platform. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

You confirm that any content you post:

• Is accurate and not misleading
• Does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Does not violate any applicable law or these terms
• Is relevant to the campus community context Loopn is designed for

We do not actively moderate all content but reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms, without notice.

Den Rooms

Den is Loopn's live campus room feature. The following rules apply specifically to Den rooms:

• All messages in a Den room are permanently deleted when the room host ends the session — no archive or backup is retained
• You may not use Den rooms to share content that would otherwise violate Section 4 of these terms
• Room hosts are responsible for maintaining appropriate conduct within their rooms and may remove members or end the room at any time
• Private room codes must not be shared with non-campus users or used to bypass the verification system

Direct Messages

Direct messages on Loopn are only available between mutually connected users. Before a DM thread opens, both parties must have accepted a connection request.

• You may not use DMs to harass, threaten, or solicit other users
• You may not use DMs for commercial solicitation or spam
• Message requests must include an honest and relevant note — do not use false pretexts to initiate contact

We may review direct messages in response to a valid report, legal obligation, or serious safety concern. We do not read messages for advertising or profiling purposes.

Intellectual Property

All elements of the Loopn platform — including the app design, interface, branding, logo, name, and underlying code — are the intellectual property of Vantcrest Labs Private Limited. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our explicit written permission.

The Loopn name, logo, and "Find your loop." tagline are proprietary assets of Vantcrest Labs Private Limited.

Content you post remains yours. We claim no ownership over your posts, profile, or messages beyond the limited license described in Section 5.

Reporting and Enforcement

Loopn provides an in-app reporting system for posts that violate these terms. Reports are reviewed and actioned at our discretion.

Enforcement actions we may take include:

• Removing content that violates these terms
• Issuing warnings to the account responsible
• Temporarily suspending an account
• Permanently terminating an account
• Reporting serious violations to relevant authorities where required by law

We are not obligated to take any specific action in response to a report, nor to notify you of actions taken against another user's account.

Termination

You may stop using Loopn at any time. To request account deletion, contact us at support@vantcrest.com.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these terms or if we discontinue the service.

Upon termination:

• Your access to Loopn will be revoked immediately
• Your profile, posts, and connections will be removed from the platform
• Content you shared in DMs may remain visible to the other party until they also delete it
• Den room messages are already deleted when rooms end — no additional action is needed

Disclaimers

Loopn is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, availability, accuracy, or fitness of the platform for any particular purpose.

We are not responsible for:

• Content posted by other users on the platform
• The accuracy of information on other users' profiles
• Any outcomes arising from connections, collaborations, or communications facilitated through Loopn
• Temporary unavailability of the service due to maintenance or technical issues
• Data loss resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control

Loopn is a campus social platform — it is not a professional services platform and does not guarantee the quality, suitability, or reliability of any user, project, or opportunity listed on it.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vantcrest Labs Private Limited and its founders, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Loopn.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Loopn shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Since Loopn is currently free, this means our total liability is zero.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages — in such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users through an in-app notification.

Continued use of Loopn after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must stop using Loopn and may request account deletion.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Loopn shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kerala, India.
