Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Loopn application (Android app or web app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Vantcrest Labs Private Limited, the company that operates Loopn.

If you do not agree, do not use Loopn. Continued use after an update to these terms means you accept the revised terms.

Who Can Use Loopn

Loopn is currently available to:

• Students and faculty of SJCET Palai
• Users who are 18 years of age or older
• Users who sign in with a valid institutional Google account issued by the college

By using Loopn, you confirm you meet these requirements. Accounts found ineligible may be removed without notice.

Provisional access is available separately via signup code, without an institutional email — see Section 3 for how this works.

Your Account

Your Loopn account is created using your institutional Google account. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

• You must keep your profile information reasonably accurate and up to date
• One account per institutional email address only
• You may not share your account or use another person's account
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
• Your account is personal and non-transferable

Provisional accounts

• Provisional accounts, created via signup code without an institutional email, are temporary and expire automatically
• Upgrading a provisional account to a verified one converts that same account — it does not create a second account
• Provisional access may be limited or revoked at our discretion at any time

Acceptable Use

Loopn is a verified campus community. The following are strictly prohibited:

Identity and Verification

• Impersonating another person, student, or faculty member
• Using someone else's institutional credentials
• Creating a false or misleading profile

Harmful Content

• Abusive, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory content
• Explicit, violent, or sexually inappropriate content
• Content promoting self-harm or harm to others
• Spreading false information or misleading claims

Spam and Misuse

• Unsolicited bulk messages or spam
• Commercial solicitation or advertising outside intended use
• Scraping, crawling, or extracting data from the platform
• Attempting to reverse engineer or compromise the platform

Content You Post

You're solely responsible for all content you post — posts, comments, replies, messages, profile info, and any files or media you upload.

By posting content, you grant Vantcrest Labs Private Limited a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute that content solely to operate Loopn. This license ends when the specific content is deleted. Deleting your account does not delete your content — it remains on the platform, no longer associated with your identity (shown as "Loopn User"), and this license continues to apply to it.

• Content must be accurate and not misleading
• Must not infringe third-party intellectual property
• Must not violate any applicable law or these terms

We do not actively moderate content. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms, without notice, through manual review.

On a Page, admins and contributors can delete any post published under that Page, including posts written by other people. This is intentional shared moderation of a Page's own content, and it is enforced at the database level (row-level security).

Den Rooms

Den is Loopn's live campus room feature.

• All messages in a Den room are permanently deleted when the host ends the session — no archive or backup is retained
• You may not use Den rooms to share content that would otherwise violate Section 4
• Room hosts are responsible for conduct in their rooms and may remove members or end the room at any time
• Private room codes must not be shared with non-campus users or used to bypass verification

Direct Messages

Direct messages are only available between mutually connected users. Before a DM thread opens, both parties must have accepted a connection request.

• DMs may not be used to harass, threaten, or solicit other users
• DMs may not be used for commercial solicitation or spam
• Message requests must include an honest, relevant note

We may review direct messages in response to a valid report, legal obligation, or serious safety concern. We do not read messages for advertising or profiling.

Pages

Any verified user may create a Page to represent a club, society, or organization on campus.

• Page roles: admin, contributor, and member
• Content posted as a Page is attributed to, and is the responsibility of, the Page and its admins — not Vantcrest
• Vantcrest may remove a Page or revoke its roles for violations of these Terms, the same as an individual account
• Deleting a Page requires a unanimous vote from all of its current admins. A Page with a single admin can be deleted by that admin alone, after confirming by typing the Page's name. If a new admin is added mid-vote, the number of votes required increases accordingly
• Deleting a Page also deletes the posts, comments, and reactions made as that Page. Messages sent as the Page are not deleted; they remain, with the Page reference removed

Intellectual Property

All elements of the Loopn platform — app design, interface, branding, logo, name, and underlying code — are the intellectual property of Vantcrest Labs Private Limited. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our explicit written permission.

The Loopn name, logo, and "Find your loop." tagline are proprietary assets of Vantcrest Labs Private Limited.

Content you post remains yours. We claim no ownership over your posts, profile, or messages beyond the limited license described in Section 5.

Reporting and Enforcement

Loopn provides an in-app reporting system for content that violates these terms. Reports are recorded for our review. We don't guarantee a response or any specific action, and enforcement happens at our discretion via manual review. Enforcement actions we may take include:

• Removing content that violates these terms
• Removing an account
• Reporting serious violations to relevant authorities where required by law

We are not obligated to take a specific action in response to a report, nor to notify you of actions taken against another user's account.

Termination

You may stop using Loopn any time. You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Account Management → Delete Account) or via the web form at loopn.in/delete-account. Deleting your account removes your personal profile information (name, photo, bio, contact details) and your login access.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine you've violated these terms.

Upon termination

• Your access is revoked immediately
• Content you've posted or shared (posts, messages, comments, uploaded media) remains on the platform but is no longer associated with your identity — it displays as "Loopn User"
• Content shared in DMs may remain visible to the other party until they also delete it
• Den room messages are already deleted when rooms end — no additional action needed

Disclaimers

Loopn is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties regarding reliability, availability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.

• We're not responsible for content posted by other users
• We're not responsible for the accuracy of other users' profiles
• We're not responsible for outcomes from connections or collaborations made through Loopn

Loopn is a campus social platform — not a professional services platform. We don't guarantee the quality or reliability of any user, project, or opportunity listed on it.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vantcrest Labs Private Limited and its founders, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Loopn.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed what you've paid us in the past 12 months. Since Loopn is currently free, this means our total liability is zero.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For significant changes, we'll notify you via an in-app notification. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of India. Disputes arising from these terms or your use of Loopn are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala, India.
